As the archivist, Lanes enjoys a great deal of intellectual pursuits and knowledge management. He keeps record of memories and knowledge about trauma and recovery.

In the real world, he is in charge of discussing theories and journaling emotionally charged events. In the inner world, he provides reassurance and analyzes experiences.

He stepped in sometime in 2022, when college required intellectual rigour on top of juggling inner turmoil. While he did encountered tragedies, he does not have strong affect towards them. He spends most of his hours reading and watching materials about psychology.

Lanes lives in the library located in the forest. He enjoys organizing knowledge and talking with the Soother and the Writer whenever they visit.
